NY ONLY: School Library Media Month Award

NY School Library Media Specialists:  The deadline is rapidly approaching
for applications for the $400 Winnebago/SLMS School Library Media Month
Award.  The awar dis intended to recognize the efforts of school library
media specialists sho creatively teach their students that the library is
"The Bridge to the Future"  (this year's theme).  We hope you will consider
applying.  You must be a member of SLMS and conduct a media center program
which emphasizes the theme "Bridge to the Future"  The main component of the
program should have occured in April.  The $400 award and plaque will be
presented at the NYLA conference.  Deadline in June 7 !!!  Contact Pat
