Between trips back and forth to Marietta to help with my new granddaughter, I have completed two very good books that I would like to recommend to all: First, "We Were the Mulvaneys" by Joyce Carol Oates. This is a great story of the perfect all-American family that started falling apart after the teenage daughter was date-raped. The second is "The Fortunate Pilgrm" by Mario Puzo. This was the second book he wrote which is now in reprint. It is a saga about an Italian-American family in NY city and their trials and tribulations. Both books were very good reading!
