state dinner/ medieval cooking

Hello,

 I am sure someone out there will know some wonderful sites for finding
out about
1)  medieval dining, food and entertainment
2)  modern state dinners, either from Great Britain or the Us

Any help will be appreciated.  I have a student looking for resources on
both.
