Suzanne, I don't know books ABOUT alliteration to read to kids, but a book that's FULL of alliteration in Margaret Atwood's _Princess Purnella and the Purple Peanut_. It is just wonderful. Except for the white-haired wrinkley-wristed wise woman, nearly every word starts with the letter "P". I think the thrid grades will love it. Hope this helps, Allison G.
