Bruce and everyone, I have just received in the mail a preview copy of _MaMaMedia_, which claims to be the "world's first internet magazine for kids". One year, 4 issues, costs $10.95. It's being edited by Seymour Papert the developer of Logo and of Lego Robots. The web site is www.mamamedia.com. The preview issue has slick, colorful pages of an unwieldy large size, 10 inches x 15 inches. It's full of "cool" pictures of kids, lots of website citations, and a message to parents saying that the goal of the magazine is to "lead children to what's good on the internet." I'd say it would appeal to elementary kids. I don't know about middle school. Probably not. It's worth a peek.
