I am using Checkpoint, am disappointed in the security of the security!
I have had some problems similar to those someone else mentioned this
morning in regard to students removing the targets from the materials and
doing funky things with them. We chose the alternative of using labels
to cover the targets in the books and it takes us about three times as
long to check the books in and out because we have to do that physical
act of peeling and sticking. If had did Checkpoint again I would do the
card/pocket thing although that's what our colleague was having trouble with.

I was in the Topeka Public Library over Christmas vacation and nearly
wept at the ease with which patrons were checking out their materials on
the 3M system. It was a beautiful sight to behold. Checkpoint has a
similar system but does not yet have a compatibility with Winnebago, so I
won't be able to make that switch until they get that accomplished.

I think that you should seriously consider something other than
Checkpoint. jc
