Is anyone else out there abandoning MAS? We have had such trouble - it
errors out all the time when students are searching. They seem to have no
concern about this so I am about to jump ship.

I have looked at Newsbank (expensive and not crazy about the way it is set
up - can't see magazine source without going into article).

Have looked at Proquest UMI - it takes four discs which is just too many
although I like the way it searches.

Also have looked at Proquest on the net. It is expensive and I really
don't like how it is set up. Tries to do too much, mixes magazines,
newspapers and other articles together and hard for kids to tell if article
originates in the US or England, etc. Gives option to get a fax for have
article mailed for $6.00.

Anyone have any comments or suggestions. I hate this part. It is fhard to
judge cost, searching techniques, magazines indexed, etc and come out with
a winner.
