LM_NET: Library Media Networking
Has anyone subscribed to KIDSWORLD magazine? I just saw an advertisement
for it in EBSCO subsc. catalog. and it appeals to me for my 4th gr
(Intermediate school lib.) It has WWW connections!, I just visited the site
www.kidsworld-online.com
The thing I'm anxious about is the "meeting room" that allows
readers/browsers to link up. I like the possibilities of students being
able to publish their works at this site too, but am guarded about putting
name and town "out there"
Guess I'm talking myself out of the magazine because of the Net safety
issues i's have to eventually deal with when students read in the magazine
that such and such is possible when they visit the Kidsworld site.
Any experience with this magazine and or general feelings about the above?
