In an interview in the Denver Post, author Rudolfo Anaya mentions several of his favorite writers of "Chicano literature" which blends some native North American stories with those from Mexico and Spain. Some of the writers he admires: Montserrat Fontes, Denise Chavez, and Demetria Martinez Others mentioned in the article: Manuel Ramos (mysteries), Sandra Cisneros, Tomas Rivera,, and Pino Villanueva. Native American writers who touch similar themes include: the late Michael Dorris, Greg Sarris, Leslie Marmon Silko, Susan Power, and Aaron Carr. _*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_ Kevin Dellit kdellit@colosys.net Media Specialist Hayden High School Hayden, Colorado 81639 970-276-3761
