There have been a few questions in my school regarding this title but I
had my teacher committee look at it and Seventeen last spring and we
decided to keep it.  We are a 6-8 middle school.  I do think that it
used flambouant style and visual tintilation (sp) to attract readers but
the actual content of the articles did not really offend anyone.  Since
we are a library we felt we could keep this for recreational reading.
Parents are buying this for their middle school daughters and there was
nothing in it you don't see on the evening TV shows.  I personally could
do without it but professionally I feel we need to carry a variety of
popular titles for girls.  There is already more than enough for boys.
