GEN: Community Service

Hello everyone,
        I just got out of a department head meeting where the principal
threw out the idea of requiring community service from our seniors
for graduation.  Right now it has just been mentioned but the principal
would like more information.  Is anyone out there requiring community
service for high school graduation?
        If so, please e-mail me and tell me how it is working.  We are
interested in learning how the service is monitored, how to begin
such a program and anything else you could tell us.
