Hello LM_NETers-- Our high school is going to go to block scheduling next year (whether we are ready or not!) and I am wondering what the experience has been like for any of you in the same situation. How does the media specialist fit into the system? I am thinking that there might actually be an increase in teachers using the library for projects, since longer periods will allow them more time for different experiences, and perhaps because they will need to do _something_ to fill up that 90 minutes. But at the same time, with no more study halls, does the number of students getting a chance to come to the library decrease? I really don't know what to expect, and I would like to hear from you. And, I should mention that I am only half-time in the highschool (325 students), and half time in the middle school. I am afraid that it will be even more difficult to make my schedule fit what the teachers want to do than ever.
