A friend of mine needs to erase her netscape cache directory. I am under the impression that the cache exists to speed up netscape; the perceived advantage of erasing would be to clear out old sites that she hasn't visited, and free up disk space. I am further under the impression that no permanent harm could be done by this, as netscape would simply rebuild the cache from the sites she visits now and in the future. Am I correct in this, and is it safe to have her empty the cache directory? Thanks, A Angus G.
