Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I need recommendations for a good scanner for a PC. I have a HP (4c?) for
my MAC at school and I love it.  It's fantastic.  I've had mine several
years.  Are the new HP scanners still great?  Is there a better one?  I
notice the MAC version of the HP 4c is now selling for $799.  I assume the
PC would be about the same, so that's the limit to my price range.

Also,  does anyone have experience with programs for voice recognition?
I've seen several products (Via Voice, Voice Commands, Voice Pad, Dragon
Naturally Speaking).  How well do they work?  Do they work in most
applications?  What are the problems associated with them?

Has anyone used a personally created font by ClickArt?  (One created from
one's own handwriting?)  If so, how well does it work?

I need recommendations about a touchpad.  Do they eliminate problems
related to the frustrations of moving a mouse?  Are there problems with
them?  Are there specific models that are good or not good?

Last, has anyone who is an experienced touch typist changed to an ergonomic
keyboard?  Is it difficult to get used to? Does it help with wrist pain?
