Target: Major AR problems

Dear LM_NETTERS,

I am a first year Library/Media Specialist. Last year, one of my schools
purchased 15 AR disks. Neither the librarian nor the staff involved were
very familiar with computers or AR. Needless to say, I am faced with
multiple problems which include the following:

1. The disks are MAC. The Board of Ed. came in this year and placed IBM
compatibles in the classrooms. We have only 1 MAC in the library. Is there
anyway I might be able to get the company from which they purchased the
disks to exchange them for IBMs? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

2. It seems the staff selected disks without first checking to see how many
titles were already on the shelves. I have gone through the shelf list
looking for the titles and have found that we only have about 20% of the
titles on the disks! Any suggestions on how to handle this? Where can I
puchase the needed books for the least expense?
