Noted in this week's NY Times Week in Review, at the end of an article
entitled "High-Tech Teaching Is Losing Its Gloss":

"RETHINKING
"Meanwhile, billions of dollars are spent, music and art programs suffer
neglect, libraries go unstocked. And therein lies the dilemma.

"`At the moment, the most mindless use of computers is at the elementary
school level,' said Judah L. Schwartz, professor of education at Harvard
University. `I hope that the introduction of computers will produce a
rethinking of the structure and content of the curriculum. In fact, if
putting computers in the schools produces only that, it will make it all
worth it.'"
