Boycott? It won't help. That's detrimental to progress. We have been guinea
pigs since technology was available. And we are living through that now and
I think ever it will be. But as technology improves we tend to forget that
we've been testing grounds. But who cares? Maybe you have undergone the era
of 4kbps modems and the times of outrageously slow BBS. But because we keep
on using them, what do we have now? 56KBps? ISDN? ATM? Far car from what we
had several years ago. Still we are not satisfied. True. It's human nature.
True. This is how technology works and evolves.

In the next years to come, the battlecry will be bandwidth, bandwidth,
bandwidth. The problem is not with these JAVA and ACTIVE X sites, but with
the telecommunications sector. A considerable chunk of these vast networks
of telephone lines are still POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service). In time,
we will be having speeds we never dreamed of and for a lot less money.

JUST BE PATIENT. We don't have much options for now.

Best wishes,

Java?

Please excuse if this is a cross-posting
or offtopic to the list. Feel free

Tired of sites that take forever to load?

Wish that all website developers would
just stick with HTML and CGI scripting?

How about a voluntary moritorium or
boycott of Java and Active X sites?
