Automation woes: Follett vs. Athena help

Dear Wise Ones,
        Ten years ago I automated my libraries on Scribe's Innovation Plus.
At the time it was, IMHO, the best program available.  Unfortunately, it was
a small company and never really took off.  Last week we were informed that
it was purchased by Athena's owners.  They will "support" the product, but
it will of course, be "dead" - no upgrades, etc. All of our elem. schools
and one of the jr. highs uses this program.  The high school and the other
junior high use Follett.
        QUESTION: What would you do? ( Especially those of you out there who
use or have used Athena and/or Follett)  Should we go with Follett so that
the district is all on the same planet, so to speak? (If we do this, it may
take us several years of hoarding bookfair money to be able to pay the
price.)  Should we upgrade to Athena (who is giving us a really great price
break on their product)?  Should we just hang out with our now obsolete
(tho' working quite fine, thank you) program?
