No Subject

In a recent meeting at school the question came up about videoing kids in
the classroom during regular instructional time.  It seems that video
cameras have been install on some busses in our area to help cut down on
behavior problems.  A teacher wondered if she could do basically the same
thing in her room.  Another teacher said that she'd heard it was illegal.
As the "information specialist" in my school, they turned to me for an
answer.  Any ideas of where I look to find this particular piece of
information?  Thanks in advance
