TARGET: Like Jake and Me

Hi Folks,
I tried to post this yesterday but it bounced back.  I have a possible
book challenge to a book by Mavis Jukes, Like Jake and Me.  I checked
through the archives to see if anything was posted but found nothing.

Since there has only been a slight rumble about this book, I would like
anyone who has any comment on the book to post their comments.  So far I
can only find positive comments about it:-)  This is a good thing.

The problem seems to be the reaction of a few boys (2 or 3 grade) who
created an outburst about the picture of the stepdad undressed.  This
book in on the Accelerated Reader list and is a Newberry Honor Book.

Personall I think the teacher who took the book to the principal didn't
bother to read the book first!  TIA for the help and suggestions:-)
