LM_NET: Library Media Networking
Yesterday I sent a note to the "feedback" section of American School
Directory. Today I got a call from a representative trying to convince me
to correct the information at the site and keep them up to date. I
explained that I maintain our school site and do not have the time or the
interest to maintain their site as well and repeated my request that they
remove us from their site. The next few minutes were spent with me
repeating "Please remove us from your site" while the representative tried
to convince me to update the site. She told me I obviously wasn't listening
to her. I again said "Please remove us from your site". To make a long
conversation short ... the woman finally said she would go over my head and
speak to the principal Mrs. --------. I said to go right ahead but she
might be interested in knowing that that principal hasn't been here in
years! When I hung up, several kids in the Media Center said, "So, are they
going to remove us from their site?" At least the kids were listening!!
