Thank you, "carmudgeon's carmudgeon", that is the way I spell it, too, and
two dictionaries on my shelves give "plagiarise" and "plagiarize" as
"recognised alternatives" (says one of them). And wasn't it Shaw who said
that the United States and the United Kingdom are two countries divided by
a common language?
