Dear LM_Net Members, Thought this would be of interest to this group! If you haven't had a chance to participate in the NASA Sharing projects be sure to take a look at the web site. There are wonderful projects NeurOn, Women of NASA, Live From Mars, etc. and the new Learning Technologies Channel which will help you and colleagues integrate the Internet & technology into the curriculum. Please copy and share this with your staff and other educators who might benefit! Jan Wee, Technology Learning Specialist School District of Holmen Holmen, WI ---------------------------------------------------------- -----------> ALERT! NEW NASA PROGRAMMING!<--------------- Hello, Here's a last minute update on some new online programming. Perhaps you've heard whispers of the Learning Technologies Channel (LTC). There are lots of cool, realtime events happening and planned. The full details are available at http://quest.arc.nasa.gov/ltc On October 21st we listened to live audio from a submarine which was exploring parts of the ocean floor never before visited by humans. In November, we'll have virtual tours of NASA's practice space station (on the ground at JSC/Houston). That's where astronauts practice Station experiments with realistic configurations. Thursday October 23 we start a regular series called Sharing NASA 101. Each week we will look in-depth at another aspect of the Sharing NASA series; topics will include chats, student publishing, etc. The time for these events will be 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm Pacific (7:00 pm to 8:00 pm Eastern.) See http://quest.arc.nasa.gov/ltc/sn for all of the details. We are very excited about the great programming we're planning. To stay abreast of this rapidly evolving new teacher/student resource, visit the web site frequently or sign up for the maillist by sending email to: listmanager@quest.arc.nasa.gov In the message body, write these words: subscribe updates-ltc I hope I see some of you online for the Sharing NASA 101 series. In NASA's best tradition, we think we'll be exploring new ground and we want you to come along for the adventure. Yours, Marc Siegel, Manager of Sharing NASA Projects NASA Ames Research Center =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST For more help see LM_NET On The Web: http://ericir.syr.edu/lm_net/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
