Looking for titles and feedback on the topic of literature based learning
for Global Studies. I think this is a great way to provide outreach and
reading incentive related to the curriculum. I buy class sets of titles
(30) and circulate to classrooms. I have two global studies teachers
interested in locating titles related to the following topics:

Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Midde Ages, English Civil War and Cromwell,
Sixteenth Century and Elizabeth I, Renaissance, Middle East, Latin
America.

I found a great reference book called "A Reference Guide to Historical
Fiction for Children and Young Adults" (Greenwood, 1987). Drawbacks are
that it is not up to date and doesn't indicate if the title is
recommended for reluctant readers.

Titles must be in print, available in paperback, high interest / lower
level. These students are in 10th grade and reluctant readers.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
