HIT: National children's book week.

hi.. thanks for asking for a hit..i accidently erased my "hit" file so, this
is going to the edited version!
1)  have everyone list the title and author of their favorite book on pieces
of diferent colored construction paper and post them on the bulletin boards
or down the hall.

2)Prepare activities to go along with the illustrator's visit..(thanks to
Paula Neale for her non-fiction ideas)

3)use http://www.louverture.com/scavenger.html to do a savenger hunt.

4)Ask 3,4,5th grade teachers to have their kids pair up with K,1,2, students
and read them a story.

5)Go to the http://www.cbcbooks.org/bwtips.html to see the Children's book
councils home page and how to celebrate book week!!  Good ideas.

6)  With the theme,, any time, is book time.. have the kids draw pictures of
things they could be doing if they were not reading!!, or different places
to read a book!.
