Thanks for your comments, Betty, about librarians as readers.  Although
I'm an avid reader and that's what got me into this field, I have learned
so much more about researching, computing, management, and myself than I
ever intended to!

As an aside, I worked in a public library at the beginning of my career.
The head of children's services did not like children and, I suspected,
did not like children's literature except as she could use it in a
performance.  Needless to say, the kids could see right through her
although the administration could not, much to my dismay.  I left that
library to find a more suitable situation.
