Dear LM_NETers, Recently I posted a question re. elementary library skills instruction, and received some great responses. I am now looking for a similar item for our 6,7,8 graders who come infrequently. Perhaps these lessons could be incorporated by the other teachers into their units as it is for their classes that students need these skills. Off the soapbox, and back to the question... The folks who responded suggested "Hooked on Library Skills" published by the Association for Curriculum Development. I ordered a preview of a middle school skills book, but when it arrived, saw a copyright of 1990. Although the lessons in it were good, due to the ancient (grin) date, nothing was mentioned about electronic resources. The publishers are less than helpful re. date info, so I am turning to you for input. There is a companion, "Hooked on Research Skills" by the same author, and I wondered if any of you have used it. I am certainly open to other suggestions.
