mac audio help

I have done this before BUT am beating my head trying to remember how

I want to save a netscape midi file.
Ya know the ones that appear in the right hand corner of the desktop.
But the menu when the item is selected doesn't have a save feature.
I can select all, then copy
BUT
I can't remember the procedure from that point.
(ie: what do i paste it in)
anyone?
