Help!, I am currently working on a project for a children's materials
class and I'm sort of stuck. The assignment is to analyze part of a
non-fiction collection. I need to provide an overview of the category,
scope, age levels etc. I also need to interview a children's librarian
with working knowledge of the collection. My segment of the collection
is social issues and I'm finding it to be a broad and ill defined
category. I was planning on including drugs, alcohol, smoking,
death/dying, divorce, and sex education (I saved all the sexuality hits
those will really help). But because of the age level invovlved (6-12)
i'm really struggling with whether or not everything is approriate and
did I do a complete job. If you have any thoughts on the category, can
help in anyway, or wouldn't mind participating in an email interview I'd
really appreciate the input. TIA.
