We use From Sea to Shining Sea  from Children's  Press. It's the intermediate
version of Enchantment of Amer. Format is good. Lots of pictures, Fact box
with state symbols. Some history and geography. Lists of famous people. Kids
really like it.  Easy to use. Good Table of contents. Index. We have complete
sets of FSTSS and EOA in all 5 of elementary schools.
