Thanks to all for the many thoughtful replies to my question about which of these 2 browsers to offer in the lab and in classrooms. My major concern was about the overhead and if Communicator had "too much". It seems, from the letters that I received that Communicator may run faster! The replies can be summed up by this one from Dale Johnson: in most ways, they are the same basic with the Communicator option having email, push technology (Netcaster) and a web design (Composer). Navigator 4.x is just the browser. You can get Navigator and then upgrade to Communicator if you want. Hope this helps. -- Dale A. Johnson So, for the time being, I will use what we have installed, Navigator 3.02 and Eudora and then upgrade to Communicator when everyone is comfortable and can use a shake up. I like the fact that communicator has so many of the plug-ins as part of the browser - but at this time, there is no one to go around the school and help each teacher who may need help with the upgrade.
