-- [ From: Cheryl Sturgeon * EMC.Ver #2.5.02 ] -- Is there an official viewpoint or health guideline about watching TV in the dark. This is a pet peeve of mine at school. Our teachers often use the media center to show videos to large (2-3 classes) groups. They insist on having the lights out. The other day they actually had kids who had make-up work or whatever sitting in the dark to read and write because they had the rest on the other side of the room watching TV in the dark. The far end of the room that was left in light and has a window has no tables or chairs. I suggested that they watch with the lights on since TV works just fine in a lighted room and the acted incredulous that I would suggest such a thing. I do know that straining your eyes to read in the dark is NOT good. What are your opinions, findings, help, etc.? Cheryl -- Cheryl A. Sturgeon Highland Local Schools csturgeo@ohio.net -- Cheryl A.
