Contemporary Authors series

Dear LM-Netters,

I once again come to the group in search of your infamous wisdom and
knowledge!  Currently we purchase Contemporary Authors and Contemporary
Authors New Revision Series.  Unfortuneately we have not been able to
keep up our subscription due to rising costs.  To update the sets I
would have to spend my enire budget for the next two years!  Are there
other sources that would give the same type of information in a book or
nonbook format for a lot less money?  Are there internet sites or
subscription sites that do the same?  Or even networked cd-roms?
