We like PowerPoint 97 for MM presentations.

Our students also do multimedia presentations & we like the mPower
software. While it is similar (slide show format) to Powerpoint, I've found
it much more user-friendly.. Alter a brief demonstration, students are able
to begin creating slides. They really enjoy it! The software is sold by
Mindscape Educational Sales, 88 Rowland Way, Novato, CA 94945.

In our district we have one teacher assigned to curriculum integration
with technology. He has been recommending Multimedia Workshop for
this type of assignment.

I like Astound 4.0 for multimedia authoring. It does it all.

Kid Pix Studio is easy and fun to use--makes good slide shows. We use
Hyperstudio on the MAC platform--way cool. Don't know if it exists for
the PC. Macromedia director is outstanding but complicated. Aldus
Persuasion is Powerpoint's biggest competitor but it's harder to
learn--has good graphics though. Stick with Powerpoint and just import
other graphics from other sources.

Thanks again for all your wisdom!
