LM_NET: Library Media Networking

I am going to try and phase out the regular seekly scheduled storytime for
Kinder and 1st and replace with flex and try to coplan with teachers and
begin Big 6.  I am going to have some (1 in particular) reluctant to give
up once a week 15 minute, not so much the library time, because they are
supposed to stay with me; however, I have one that has an excuse almost
weekly to leave, therefore, she never hears what I say to her children, to
be able to reinforce etc. in the classroom.  So, please offer words of
wisdom (specific) that I could use at the beginning of school to encourage
and explain why we need to go flex all the way.  What specific K-5 or 1st
skills do you and your teachers work cooperativley? My principal is already
very supportive, but it is always better to sell ALL teachers so they can
feel ownership of the plan.  One thing I do plan to do is, to invite them
maybe two classes at a time to a special storytime that I will do or
possibly from time to time try to get a volunteer to come and read to them.
 It just will not be regularly scheduled, it will be more "special".
