A combined public library and elementary school library is being proposed for one of the areas of our county. I would like to know: 1) are collections separate or combined? Are there separate areas for "public" and "school"? 2)when school is in session, does the school have priority on use of space and resources? 3)what rules are there? 4) how is staff assigned? 5) does the school staff serve all patrons or just school patrons? 6) what are the positives of a combined library? 7) what are the negatives of a combined library? 8) what other information can you share with me about this topic?
