In order to solve this problem, our district installs anti virus
software on all computers before they are shipped to the schools.
We pay $13.80 per machine  which includes the license for students
to also install the software on their home computers (Dr. Solomon's
anti virus; pricing from www.oetc.org, an ed consortium). I believe
that students being able to transfer work to and from school is
worthy of such support.
