Would like to call people's attention to an interesting series of books I am
reading which seem to fill a void. I heard an interview with a young author
last spring who had written 3 books involving a group of girls who like to
play sports. She could not get a major publisher to pick them up, so she is
publishing them herself
They are not bad. The girls are between 6th and 8th grade. The series is
called the Broadway Ballplayers. The Author's name is Maureen Holohan. The
have read "Friday nights" about a girls summer basketball league; "Left Out"
about baseball - a girl on the all-star team, and "Everybody's Favorite" about
soccer.

She has a website at www.bplayers.com

I have no connection with these books or author. I just think people might
find them worthwhile for our young girls who are into sports. I don't see much
in the fiction line for them. Books are paperback, but on good quality paper
even.
