Help: library hardware & software --???

Our new principal is interested in improving our library computers, & I
think computerizing the library too.  We had been going to use Follett, and
to have mostly PC's.  I would really prefer Macintoshes.  Anybody have
suggestions?  Sorry to be so vague, but he really did just pass me a flyer
on Apple and say what do you want?  Could we network them with the 2 second
hand Pentiums we already have?

Ideally someone will read this who wants to walk us through it.  ;-)   Or
can suggest a good site.
