"Home Economics" association

A teacher has asked me to find out if there is in the US the equivalent of
(what we call in Canada) a "Home Economics" Teachers Association. I've
searched under "Food Science and Nutrition" and "Clothing and Textiles",
but have come up wanting.Any info appreciated. TIA
