Forgive my *personal* request for poem reference. I heard a poem in HS forensics that, I think, was titled "Rosie's Good Eats Cafe." The stanzas seemed to be giving little profiles of the personalities who frequented the cafe at different times of the day. I tried to follow the form to write a similar poem for my father, a business owner -- but am not happy with my attempts and would like further inspiration by seeing the original in print. I have never been able to find it, although years ago I asked the "performer" and he said it was by Silverstein (as in Shel) I think he was pulling my 16-year-old leg. It doesn't seem like a S.S. poem. Anyway, can anyone help me? ^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^ Marcia Dressel, Library Media Specialist dressel@oz.osceola.k12.wi.us Osceola Elementary School OR Osceola Intermediate School 250 Tenth Avenue, PO Box 128 550 Chieftain Street, PO Box 128 Osceola WI USA 54020-0128 Osceola WI USA 54020-0128 ^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^%^ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
