Exchange positions in UK (or other countries)

Dear Netters....

After having visited England and Scotland, including the Orkney Islands,
this past summer, I have been doing alot of thinking about working abroad
for a year or so.  I would love to be able to find a position in some type
of library...either school, public, OR academic....in the UK for an
academic year. I am familiar with the Fulbright Teacher Exchange programs
but am not sure how to go about applying.  I also would be interested in
finding out about other such programs that offer similar opportunities
either in the UK or other European countries (even Central or South America
would be fine!!).  If any of you, especially those who live and/or work in
Europe/UK, have information on how and where I could go about applying for
such a post PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!  Thank you so much for your help in
advance!!!
