Our high school library has our first security system--a radio frenquency type. We are having some problems with students who pull the targets out of books and stick the target in another student's backpack, textbook, purse, etc. Of course when the "victim" goes through the system we call them back & do a search to find what caused the alarm. Evidently some students find this a very funny trick to pull on a fellow student. It is not funny to us and is becoming increasingly annoying. Have any of you had to address this problem? Any ideas on how to discourage (via disciplinary measures) this behavior? Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.
