Being a member of NEA, I receive a magazine from our state organization
called NJEA Review. In the current February issue there are 12 pages
devoted to Read Across America. The articles include ideas for activites, a
one page biography of Mr. Theodore Geisel, a list of Dr. Seuss books, and a
ist of good read aloud books.
Although I'm having a hard time believing it, I have been told that this
magazine is written solely for New Jersey. I thought the core articles were
written at a national level, and then published in each state's magazine,
with meeting and dates for that state added on extra pages. (sort of like TV
GUIDE)
If you would like to see this article, let me know. I think I can have it
scanned and then can email it to you.
I can also we have planned in my building to celebrate this event.
Also - does anyone else get a state level magazine from NEA that includes
information about Read Across America??

Karen
