GEN Laser guns

Hi,

Just trying to get some information on laser guns.  I've been using a
Worthington laser wand for about 7 years and it's becoming very unreliable -
won't read barcodes unless they're just right and the protector isn't over 2
mil.  I've heard a laser gun may help the problem.

Can anyone advise?  Sources? Other tech. stuff that I should be aware of?
I'm currently using Mandarin for circ.
