The foreign language teachers are asking for more support with the = lands-and-peoples aspect of their subject. Here in New York, the new = Learning Standards call for students to learn cultural awareness along = with their spoken language skills. The history of a country is of = secondary importance. Can anyone recommend good resources for Spanish classes in a region = where we don't have Spanish-speaking students (we have more who speak = Vietnamese) to enlighten us. I have looked at several series, but = without becoming enthusiastic. We need cultural information from both = Spain and Latin America.
