Several of Harry Willems' correspondents in the recent HIT on 4-block = intensive scheduling commented that their circulation has risen. What I want to know is a little different, however. What is the quality = of the research being done? And what happens when inter-library loan = takes the same number of days, though the deadline has to be set = earlier? And is students' originality or critical thinking affected by = the short deadline? I guess I'm asking whether there is a = sunrise/sunset phenomenon to research, which would dictate that the = process just plain takes time. Cynics will reply that students never did anything until the night = before, even if they borrowed the books weeks in advance. =20 What is your experience?
