Book on American Animals

This Christmas we visited Australia and I met a little boy who is
interested in North American animals.  I would like to send him a book on
North American animals but have had problems finding one appropriate to his
age level.  He has just finished the first grade and I don't want to get
one too hard for him to read.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.  Also I would need
ordering information in case I couldn't get the book at a local bookstore.
