Hi Net Friends, The ESL (English as a Second Language) coordinator for our district has ask my assistant principal for a list of "Asian Teaching Materials" to be purchased through grant monies. The coordinator suggested that she ask me, so I'm asking all of you. I don't have access to any more catalogs than the coordinator. These materials could include any fiction, non-fiction, biography or folk/fairy tales at the elementary level. We are specifically interested in materials for the Hmong, Laotian, Vietnamese and Cambodian peoples. We also have some students from China who speak Mandarin. If you know of any other teaching materials (ie. guides), I would appreciate that information, too. This information is to be turned in to the coordinator by Fri. Jan 16. I would have given you more notice, but I didn't have any myself. This may be too impossible a task, but you all are so knowledgeable that I thought I would give it a try.
