A number of my students have told me recently that they have many books at home that they've read and asked what they could do with them. I'm considering having a "book swap" in the library but am not sure how to organize it. I'm hoping there are some of you who have done this before and are willing to share some tips with me. Do you reserve the right to refuse to accept books in poor or fair condition or do you take everything? Are hardbacks and paperbacks considered "equal swaps"? If a student brings in 30 books, does he swap for 30 books? How do you organize this so it is not a wild free-for-all? Any advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated!
